Solution:
Step 1: Stop the Print Spooler Service:
Windows XP: Click Start -> Run -> Type “services.msc” hit Enter
Windows 7: In the Run/Search prompt type “services.msc” hit Enter
Find the Print Spooler service and stop it.
Step 2: Clear temp files:
Find the spool folder for your printer:
C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
Windows XP: Click Start -> Run -> Type “%windir%\System32\spool\PRINTERS” hit Enter
Windows 7: In the Run/Search prompt type “%windir%\System32\spool\PRINTERS” hit Enter
Delete all temporary files (.tmp) files.
Step 3: Start the Print Spooler Service:
Windows XP: Click Start -> Run -> Type “services.msc” hit Enter
Windows 7: In the Run/Search prompt type “services.msc” hit Enter
Find the Print Spooler service and start it.
